Questions about Image Compressor

More answers in the TextVix FAQ.

How much smaller will my images get?

It depends on the image. Photos straight from a phone often shrink a lot, especially with a smaller “Longest side”. Each result shows the before and after size.

Why didn’t my PNG get smaller?

PNG is lossless, so lowering quality can’t shrink it. Save as JPG or WebP, or reduce the dimensions.

Is the original changed?

No. Your original file is untouched; you download new, compressed copies.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are decoded and converted by your browser, on your device. TextVix never receives them.
