Lists use the compact style common in Kubernetes and GitHub Actions files.
No surprising values
Strings that YAML could misread — such as “yes”, “no”, “on”, “007” or “2024-01-01” — are written in quotes, so they stay text when the YAML is loaded. Numbers keep every digit.
What happens to your text
Your text is processed in your browser and kept only in this tab’s memory. It is not uploaded, saved or used for analytics.

Questions about JSON to YAML
More answers in the TextVix FAQ.
Can I add comments?
JSON has no comments, so the YAML has none either — add them afterwards.
Is the YAML valid?
Yes. Every conversion produces standard YAML that loads back to exactly the same data.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text and files are never sent to a server or stored.
