Questions about CSV to Excel

More answers in the TextVix FAQ.

Why not just open the CSV in Excel?

Excel guesses types when it opens a CSV: it drops leading zeros and turns some values into dates. A converted workbook stores exactly what the CSV says.

Can a cell run a formula?

No. Cells starting with =, +, - or @ are saved as text.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are opened and processed by your browser, on your device. TextVix never receives them, and they are gone when you close the tab.
